June 16, 2025 - My First Post

 Hello! My name is Taiyo Parent. Im half Canadian and was raised up in the countryside of Ooita prefecture.

I grew up in the forest, climbing trees and running around making secret bases all throughout the woods

My main focus in high school was in track and field. I was a long-distance runner and I used to run around 5000 to 10000m every day.  I used to live very far so I biked 30km every day for about 3 years.

At the same time I had a interest at creating things. I made tree houses and a bamboo raft in the lake near my house.


Since university my interest shifted from track and field to CGI and VFX. And now im studying game design and real time 3d graphics.

I love traveling in my spare time, and one of my future goals is to visit every country in the world.
This has been my dream since junior high school, and I don’t think it will ever change.

    wow! I can recommend lots of wonderful nature places in Taiwan!
    If you have chance, please visit my country!
    I also love to ride bicycle! If possible, I am willing to join your long-term biking activity if possible!

One of the most famous Canadian dishes is poutine, it is  made of crispy French fries topped with cheese curds and hot gravy.   I was born in Japan, but my father is Canadian. When I was in kindergarten, I used to watch a VHS tape at home that showed how to make poutine. I used to watch it often in kindergarten, and my father would say, “This is  delicious!” Me as a kindergarten boy, I imagined it to taste amazing.   Finally, when I visited Canada in elementary school, I had my first real poutine. But it was much heavier than I expected. I couldn’t finish it, and I gave most of it to my grandfather. I remember feeling very disappointed. But now, as a university student, I really want to try it again! As I wrote this, I started to really want to make and eat poutine! I’m planning to make it this weekend! June 18, 2025 - My Favorite Site!

I didn't really read blogs after entering university, but one of my favorite English blogs was the  Blender Studio Blog . Blender is a free and open-source 3D CG software, and this site is hosted by the studio run by the Blender Foundation. The Blender Foundation is the organization that mainly develops the software. This site keeps you up to date on Blender updates and news about the Blender community. I used to be a heavy Blender user, and I often read through the blog when I couldn't use Blender. Since Blender Studio is run by the Blender Foundation, they create a short film for every major Blender update. The short film is made to promote Blender’s main new features, and the blog is used to document the workflow. So this blog is very useful for people like me who are studying 3DCG on our own.
